If you are expecting a baby within the next 4-5 months, you’re probably planning out your Baby Registry at your local store. Target is a store easily accessible by many and has a large selection of baby products and brands. Parents can easily find everything they need at Target. With the inclusion of more eco-conscious brands, Target has opened it’s selection to reach new parents of all mindsets and backgrounds.
While a Target Baby Registry may not seem to be as high end as a Nordstrom Registry, almost all things Nordstrom Baby carries can be found either in store or at Target Online (with the exception of designer brand clothing). Target wants to reach every parent, and they are trying really hard to adapt their registry options to different needs. Whether you start your registry online or in store, you have the option and the access to the Target Registry Gift Bag. Open one in store and they will hand it to you right there. Start one online and you will receive an email reminder to pick up your bag in the store the next time you get there. Often times, your registry print out in stores will also include coupons for those shopping for you to save on registry essentials. It is a mutual beneficial relationship for both the buyer and the receiver.
Opening a registry online is as simple as signing up for an account through your email, and adding items to your registry by clicking ‘Add to Registry’ on the product page. You can specify color, quantity and size all there on the site to make sure that you get the one you want. Be careful though, since not all items carried online are available in store and most shoppers will want to buy off your registry in store. If you open one in store, you will end up signing up online through their iPad system and then walking around with a scanner adding items. Online and In-Store Registries work alongside each other and you can continue to add things in store or online at your leisure.
Each year the registry gift bag changes, and I don’t personally know if the bag is sponsored by brands or curated by Target itself, but here is the bag that is available as of December 2015 to new registrants. I am assuming that this bag will be handed out until Spring of 2016, as the coupons mostly expire beginning of June 2016.
